Schipperke Temperament 

The Schipperke is curious and interested in everything that is going on around him and in his household. The schipperke is reserve with strangers and ready to protect family and property if necessary. The schipperke displays a confident independent personality which reflects back to the breeds original purpose as a watchdog and hunter of vermin. Schipperkes are great with kids and should not be fearful and snappy. A Schipperke can fearless and think that it is bigger than any dog or obstacle it encounters.
